SEE & DO

  • Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum - The Museum represents the various environments and animals of the Senoran Desert.  The Museum is the #1 tourist attraction in Tucson and is rated in the top 10 national museums by TripAdvisor.  The Museum is located about 10 minutes  from the casita.

  • Saguaro National Park West – This Park is  home to the nation's largest cacti, the Saguaro. The Giant Saguaro is the universal symbol of the American west and is protected by law. The Saguaro is found only in a small portion of the United States.  The Saguaro West Visitor Center is 8 minutes from the casita.

  • Old Tucson - A movie study / theme park where the "West Comes Alive".  This is a good family outing and a step back in time to the old west with shows and gunfights.  The park is 12 minutes from the casita.

  • Other Tucson Attractions include:  Kitt Peak Observatory, San Xavier Mission, Biosphere II, Pima Air & Space Museum, Casino Del Sol Resort, Arizona Museum on University of Arizona Campus, The Congress Hotel to mention a few - not to overlook day trips to Kartchner Cavern or Tombstone.  Up for an overnight, The Grand Canyon awaits.

  • Enough Museums and Parks - how about biking, hiking or a few rounds of golf.  These are all big activities in the  " Old Pueblo".  Don't forget the oldest Rodeo in the West or the Gem Show.  Tucson also has a good share of restaurants and microbreweries.  Should be enough to keep you interested and busy.  If your idea of a vacation is a good book and a cold drink on a patio, that's easy to accomplish here.  However you define your vacation, think about how a desert casita may help you get there.
